Kate Pawley | General Manager
Kate has been with us since August 2016. She grew up here in Loveland, CO while showing both dogs and horses in 4-H and working for Jennie while in high school. After watching a movie called "Love Leads the Way" Kate decided that she would follow her dream of training guide dogs where she moved to Florida in 2001. After becoming a certified guide dog instructor and Apprentice Manager for 15 years Kate decided that she missed the mountains, snow, cold and most of all no humidity. Today, she is happily back working with Jennie and the different breeds of dogs and their families while her personal dog, Bella, loves to play with the other dogs in the doggie daycare.
Holly Trumble | Reception
Holly is our part time receptionist, and she loves dogs! She has been married for 38 years to a very tolerant non-dog husband, who has allowed her to show her Portuguese Water Dogs in conformation to their Championships & have 3 litters of puppies. She and her dogs are now taking Rally Classes and working on Water Titles. For the last 15 years she has been teaching rubber stamping as a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator, and she makes beautiful Thank You and Sympathy cards for us here at Dogs' Own. When not outside with her dogs, they are inside hanging out with Holly as she spends time being creative making cards. She loves working at Dogs' Own, and can't think of anything better than kissing dogs all day long! Her favorite thing is seeing dirty, matted messy dogs come in & beautiful, clean, fuzzy decked out dogs leave the salon. Having the groomers groom her dogs is the most wonderful perk, whether for show or just a fun gorilla cut they really are the best!
Gracie Van Horn | Groomer
Gracie grew up in a small town in Wyoming. After trying college, she realized her heart was with dogs and she wanted to become a groomer. She attended and graduated Dogs' Own Grooming School in 2017, and then pursued her grooming career at a salon in South Dakota. After working there nearly a year, she decided that the dogs and staff at Dogs' Own held a big spot in her heart, and that is where she was meant to be. She moved back in April of 2018, along with two dogs of her own, Bling and Bella, and has worked here since. Her love for dogs will show through the way she cares for your dogs and her attention to detail.
Tracy | Groomer
After retiring from a 20 year career in the educational system, Tracy has pursued a second career working with dogs - fulfilling a lifelong dream. She originally attended Dogs Own Grooming School so that she could volunteer for rescues and shelters and use her skills to spruce up adoptable pets. She was invited to join the team as a part time bather and groomer here at Dogs' Own. Tracy has five dogs of her own, as well as one cat who opted out of the photo shoot! She has been working at Dogs Own for about two and a half years, as well as fostering for Bounce Animal Rescue in Fort Collins. She loves traveling to warm climates and spending time with my grandkids when she's not busy rescuing pups in need of forever homes!
Lyn | Groomer
Lyn is originally from Boulder, Colorado. After spending the last three years working with dogs, she believes that she has found her true calling! In 2015 Lyn worked with horses for a year while at boarding school, but never stopped dreaming about a career with canines. In 2018, Lyn decided to follow her dream and attended grooming school right here at Dogs' Own. Dogs are a big part of who she is, having three of her own and she loves getting to work with them every day!
Jackie | Groomer
By age 16, Jackie was busy working with dogs! Beginning at her aunt's dog day care facility, she kept the trend and stayed in canine focused jobs throughout her atmospheric science and psychology college career. In 2012 Jackie finally followed her heart and attended grooming school here at Dogs' Own. She is excited to be back at Dogs' Own, this time as a certified groomer, rather than a student. In her free time, Jackie loves spending time with her family, playing cards, and baking gluten-free goodies!
Rachel | Groomer
Rachel has had a strong passion for animals since her early childhood. In 2019, Rachel graduated grooming school right here at Dogs' Own! She feels that, by pursuing a career as a groomer, she can help pets live happier, healthier lives. When she isn't grooming or helping out around the salon, Rachel enjoys spending time outdoors, volunteering, and exploring new hobbies.
Sam Koch | Bather
I'm Sam, I am 22 years old and living in Fort Collins. I grew up in Powder Springs, Georgia with a lot of different pets (dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, birds, lizards, salamanders, and a axolotl). I moved to Colorado in 2014 to attend CSU. I started off as a pre-veterinary student, but later found a bigger passion in women and gender studies. Some of my hobbies include playing video games, soccer, skateboarding, hanging out with my dog, and watching college football. I have also volunteered for many dog and cat rescues as well as working in a dog day care. I love bathing at Dogs' Own and couldn't imagine being anywhere else!
